This description of Joerg Eisenmann's garden was inspired by a garden I used to pass every day while living in Herrenberg between 1997 and 2000. The garden has changed a bit but I guess the people who lived there 20 years ago are still living there. The two pictures below were taken one week ago.
She set off for the front door with me following in her wake. The door was made of a heavy wood and was flanked by two suits of armour. There were peculiar metal objects on the lawns which bordered the parking area. These objects lay at random as though they had dropped from the sky. They could have been construed as modern art, but to me, the pointed and angular objects suggested a barbarous period in the distant past. My detached enchantment melted slowly away.
